Once each year, the Fifth Avenue Mile is a beautiful 20-block stretch open to runners of all ages and abilities who want to run their best Mile in NYC—from the Met to Grand Army Plaza!
If you're a novice runner, join us for your first race experience. If you're a veteran, come out and try for a personal best, running with your age-group peers. Special heats include a youth mile, the George Sheehan Memorial Mile for runners age 60 and over, the NYRR Road Mile Championships, and the professional runners ($30,000 prize purse with $5000 for each race champion). This year's 33rd NYRR Fifth Avenue Mile presented by Nissan is part of the NYRR club points series.
Spectators can cheer all along the course—including close to the finish at East 60th Street for first-class views of runners dueling to the line. Come out to run, cheer and be part of a great day of running in NYC! Go Mile!
