IAAF World Indoor Championships

The world’s greatest track & field athletes will gather at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland on March 17-20 to compete in the 16th IAAF World Indoor Championships, the first time this biennial event has been contested in the U.S. since the inaugural meeting in 1987 in Indianapolis.

Bring Back the Mile to create a national movement for the Mile as America’s Distance, to inspire Americans to run the Mile as part of their fitness program and to replace the 1600 meters at High School State Track & Field Meets across the country.
