The inaugural Boxcar Mile will take place at Henderson High School with the Citizen's Races starting at 6:45pm on Thursday evening, August 13. There will be as many Citizen heats as necessary based on seed times. The West Chester Running Company women's elite race will be at 7:55pm with 6 deep prize money starting at $1200. Women's prize money will be awarded only to women running under 4:37. The Hoey Investments men's elite race will start at 8:05pm with 6 deep prize money starting at $1200. Men's prize money will be awarded only to those breaking 4:00. There is a total prize purse of $8400 available.

Post-race party and awards at Boxcar Brewery. There will be awards in the Citizen's Race provided by Boxcar. There will also be drink and food specials at Boxcar.

The Boxcar Mile is a BBTM Featured Event, showcasing the best Mile races across the country.
