Olympian Leo Manzano Returns to Texas

Silver medalist is greeted at airport

AUSTIN, Texas - Family and fans of Leo Manzano gathered at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Saturday to welcome the Marble Falls native back to Texas, a month and a day after he won a silver medal at the London Olympics.

A crowd cheered for Manzano as he rode towards them on an escalator, while showing off the medal he won in the 1500 meters.

“It’s incredible. All the support from you guys. I didn’t expect to have a turnout like this, it really means a lot,” Manzano said.
