Put on your best running shoes because the event billed as the World’s Fastest 5K, the Carlsbad 5000, has introduced the inaugural Carlsbad 5000 Mile to its line-up of signature races for 2016. This point-to-point Mile road race through Carlsbad Village offers a fast course that the Carlsbad name has become synonmous with since 1986. For a bargain $15, all finishers will receive an exclusive Brooks technical participant t-shirt, gear bag and exclusive finisher medal.

Bonus: Run the Saturday 1 Mile AND the 5K or All Day 20K on Sunday to receive both races participant tees and finisher medals, plus commemorative pint glass!

Start Time: 9:19am*
Time Limit: 20 Minutes

Start Line: Grand Ave. between Madison St. & Jefferson St.
Finish Line: Carlsbad Village Dr. and State St.

Age Group Awards
Age group awards will be presented to the top three finishers of each heat, for male and female categories. In accordance with USATF Rules, overall and cash awards will be determined by gun time while age group awards will be determined by your ChronoTrack time (chip).

8-12, 13–17, 18–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80–84 and 85-plus
