As part of the 39th running of Devil Mountain Run 5K & 10K, the event is bringing back the Mile: 5,280 feet of pure, unadulterated effort! The inaugural Mile of Truth will be contested on a USATF-certified 2-loop course in the heart of downtown Danville, CA and also offers a $1500 prize purse for the Elite division.

The race divisions - 5 heats - are as follows:
• Elite (standards are 5 minutes or faster for men / 5:45 and below for women) with $1500 prize money going three deep ($500, $175 and $75)
• Open Division 39 & under = prizes
• Masters Men & Women (40-54) = prizes
• Super Masters Men & Women 55-plus = prizes
• Buddi Love Dog Mile (competitive owner / dog Mile) = prizes

The inaugural Mile of Truth is also a BBTM Featured Event, showcasing America's best Mile races throughout the year.
