At the inaugural event, there will be $3400 in prize money available across the Elite and Masters Divisions. In the Open race there will also be age group awards every 5 years from a 19-24 group up to 75-plus. There will also be New Balance shoes awarded to the top 5 men and women in the Open race. With a total of 7 races, there will be a race for all ability levels and ages from youth up through some of the fastest milers in the country in the Elite races. U.S. Mile record holder, Alan Webb will be our Honorary Starter and will be available Saturday, November 8 at both GoRun Wichita locations for a meet-and-greet.
The races will take place at Towne East Square on a USATF certified course and is sanctioned as the USATF Missouri Valley Kansas Road Mile Championship.
