Aragon sets meet record in Mile at Billings Invite

It wasn’t a personal best, nor was it as good as her winning time last year at state.

Still, for all of her accomplishments, Christina Aragon continues to do things never done around these parts.

Aragon, a senior and standout runner at Billings Senior, set a meet record in the 1600 meters Saturday at the Billings Invitational. It was her first of three wins on the day.

Her time of 4 minutes, 47.83 seconds bested her own meet record and was less than two seconds off her winning time of 4:46.34 at last year’s Class AA state championships.
