Run or Walk ‘Main Street Mile’ for Boys & Girls Club

August 27, 2015

One-Mile races are few and far between. But they're lots of fun because they are so short and simple. Health and wellness is a large part of our programming at the club and we are excited to offer a unique race to the community that aligns with our mission.

From The Transylvania Times

Brevard's Main Street will be crowded with runners and walkers for a rare one-Mile race called the Main Street Mile on Saturday, Sept. 12 to benefit The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club.

There will be prizes for the fastest, slowest and oldest participants, the largest team group and whoever raises the most money.

Afterward, the club will host a dance party at the finish line, in front of its clubhouse on Gallimore Road. Music will be by DJ Dogg, from Class & Sound Entertainment, with Brad Snipes doing the emceeing and the Oskar Blues Brewery food truck providing food for the race participants.
