USATF Foundation Announces 9 Inaugural Stephen A. Schwarzman Grant Recipients

2012 U.S. Olympian and Mile ace Morgan Uceny one of the grant honorees for the Road to Rio 2016

 INDIANAPOLIS - The USA Track & Field Foundation has named the 9 inaugural Stephen A. Schwarzman elite grant recipients, announced Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld today.

Schwarzman, the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, recently made a major gift of $500,000 to the USATF Foundation in support of world-class athletes in track and field that are likely medal contenders at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

“I congratulate this deserving group of grantees and applaud their exceptional drive and dedication,” said Schwarzman. “It is an honor to support such a talented group of men and women and I hope that with the USATF Foundation’s help and their own determination, we can help them achieve their Olympic ambitions.”
