This classic event returns to the streets of downtown Traverse City! This event will feature a Men's and a Women's Elite Mile Road Race on a USATF certified loop-style course through downtown, concluding on the corner of Front and Union streets just prior to the beginning of the Touchstone Energy Junior Royale Parade.

The elite field of racers will consist of high level collegiate and professional runners selected by Race Directors Bryan Burns and Eric Houghton. To apply, the minimum performance standards of 4:10 for the men's mile and 4:55 in the women's mile (or equivalent 800/1500m time) will be required. In order to maintain a competitive race field, each race will be capped at a maximum of 12 athletes.

2014 Elite 5/3 Bank Golden Mile Prize Money
Champion = $1000
Runner-Up = $500
Third = $250
Clear leader at the halfway point $100 bonus
