Josette Andres (née Norris), for the second straight year, was the Wanamaker Mile runner-up, in 2023 breaking the beam in 4:20.88.

The rising star finished runner-up in the 2022 Wanamaker Mile with a PR 4:20.81, #3 U.S. woman indoors all-time, and also runner-up in the USA Indoor 1500m (4:06.13). In March, she placed 5th in the 1500m (4:04.71) at the World Indoor Championships, and in July, she won the Guardian Mile, clocking the fastest women's Mile on Ohio soil, 4:19.66 (4:20).

In 2021, Norris produced a breakout year, winning races and setting numerous personal records, including in the 1500 meters (3:59.72, #9 U.S. all-time), Mile (4:31.39, indoors, and 4:22.71, outdoors) and 5000m (14:51.32). In August, she won the Sir Walter Miler in 4:25.92, a PR (her first sub-4:30).

After transferring from North Carolina, Norris competed for Georgetown University, earning All-American 5000m honors in 2019.

At Tenafly High School, she won four New Jersey state titles in cross country and track combined.

FUN FACT: Norris' husband is 2016 Rio Olympian Robby Andrews, and together, they are the fastest married couple by track Mile PR (4:20.81 + 3:53.16 = 8:13.97 or a 4:06.9 average).
