Northern Highlands’ Catherine Pagano will run Mile at storied Penn Relays

Catherine Pagano of Northern Highlands, one of the top distance runners in the country, won't run in the 4x800-meter relay at the Penn Relays so she can focus on trying to win the Mile, according to her coach, Tom Viscardi.
The 4x800 relay is scheduled for Thursday morning (April 23) at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, and the Mile is later that same day.
The Stanford-bound Pagano, who has personal bests of 4:48.82 for 1600m and 2:08.75 for 800m, is one of the favorites to win the Mile. She's coming off one of the best seasons for a distance runner in state indoor history.
