VIRTUAL RACE IN 2021
The Navy Mile, this year, due to uncertainties caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, will be completed virtually. It’s a great opportunity to get your family & friends across the nation to join in too!
Run or walk from October 1 – 14 at a location and time of your choosing, in celebration & support of the nation's Sea Service as well as highlighting the United States Navy’s birthday month and honoring our fallen Sea Services heroes
For the 7th edition, in addition to our classic Mile, we again are offering a 5K virtual race option as well as the Chuck Heavy Challenge, a 5-step test of fitness: Mile run, 100 push-ups, Mile run, 100 air squats and Mile run.
In addition, we’ll be hosting the “Salty Dog” photo contest! Submit a photo of your dog in sailor attire for a chance to win prizes. The top 5 winners will receive gift certificates for their pets. We’ll also be offering prizes for top finishers in each heat, weekly raffles for all registrants and social media contests to help everyone feel connected even though we have to be apart. Register by Friday, September 10 to ensure t-shirt availability. All packets will be shipped, starting Thursday, September 23. Packets will continue to be shipped through Wednesday, October 13.
